This is the 2nd painting I have done in respond to “Mirage” and “Origin” finding a new home. I get inspired by so many photos that I see, usually in a social media feed, and i saw a photo of a very bright red sun and clouds. It was obviously a photo and I don’t paint in a realistic fashion, but the contrast and brilliance inspired me to use a different palette, although the red in the photo was much too bright for my taste, so I had to darken in up a little. Of course I had to put in a canyon also. =)
