24×30 Acrylic Ink on 2 inch Canvas. After selling “Mirage” and “Origin”, two of my favorite paintings I realized how much I missed those after they found a new home. As a result I decided to revisit this style, which I call, “Mirage/Origin” series. This has the same color palette as Mirage. A friend sent me a video on Instagram of a 3D artist and he had used a blueish/turquoise color on the canyon walls. I thought it was so cool that I decided to do the canyon walls in the same color that he did. I am inclined to believe that there is so much that we don’t understand about the history of civilizations, that someday we will understand the origin of where all of these unexplainable artifacts around the world come from, and I will not be surprised! =)
